Executed the software behind Scorched Ice, a Calgary-based IoT startup backed by Lance Armstrong and Mark Messier

Scorched Ice is developing a small IoT device that fits between the top of the ice skate and waist of the shoe. We helped Scorched Ice to transform how coaches train and measure player performance by:

  • Collect data from the smart skates using the MQTT protocol using AWS IoT and Kinesis technologies

  • Execute Machine Learning algorithms on serverless AWS Lambda technology

  • Provide players and coaches with mobile apps to visualize performance
